DR KEONG LIM - MBBS (hons.), FRACP
CONSULTANT GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Dr Keong Lim

Dr Keong Lim is an experienced and fully qualified gastroenterologist who is efficient, thorough and passionate about delivering the best levels of care to patients. He is a trusted, patient-focused and experienced gastroenterologist with a long history of serving patients by successfully diagnosing, treating and also managing their illnesses and diseases.

Dr Lim completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating with Honours. He commenced his basic physician training in New Zealand, and completed gastroenterology advanced training in St George Hospital, Kogarah, New South Wales. Dr Lim is fully accredited by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for gastroscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and capsule endoscopy.

He is the founder of Logan Endoscopy Services and has excellent organisational skills in running the Day Hospital facility since 1994. He has strong interpersonal skills and has employed these throughout his personal life to liaise with the public, clients, colleagues, and professionals. He previously worked at Logan (Public) Hospital from 1994-2001 as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) Gastroenterologist.

Dr Keong Lim is also a current VMO Gastroenterologist at Greenslopes Private Hospital. He believes in nurturing the next generation and has been involved in teaching medical students since 1994 and is a Senior Lecturer of the University of Queensland.

DR KEE OOI - MBBS, FRACP
CONSULTANT GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Dr Kee Ooi

Dr Kee Ooi has extensive experience in all aspects of gastroenterology with particular interest in gastro-oesophageal reflux disease and screening for colorectal cancer.

He believes in quality patient care, accurate reports, close communication with general practitioners and providing patients with management plans and follow up arrangements after their endoscopic procedures.

Dr Kee Ooi completed his basic and gastroenterology training in Queensland and is also a VMO at the Mater, Sunnybank and Greenslopes Private Hospitals.

DR LINUS CHANG - MBBS, MRCP, FRACP
CONSULTANT GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Dr Linus Chang

Prior to his medical studies at the University of Queensland, Dr Chang completed bachelor degrees in law and commerce. He undertook his basic physician and gastroenterology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane before completing his specialty training in Townsville. He has also practised throughout the United Kingdom and Singapore and completed physician training in the UK.

He completed further gastroenterology subspecialty training in endoscopic ultrasound and its role in the diagnosis and staging of upper gastrointestinal cancer at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, with further periods of observation and hands-on training in the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, USA and St Luc Hospital in Montreal, Canada.

Along with upper digestive tract malignancies, Dr Chang has special interests in diseases of the pancreas and biliary tree, Hepatitis B and high quality colonoscopy in the prevention of colorectal cancer, including colonoscopy training. He is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland and teaches medical students. He is also a Royal Australasian College of Physicians supervisor to gastroenterology trainees.

Dr Chang also consults and performs procedures at the Mater Hospital campus in South Brisbane and in Sunnybank.

DR WIYANG (SEAN) SZETOO - BSc (med), MBBS, FRACP
CONSULTANT GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Dr Sean Szetoo

Dr Sean Szetoo is an experienced Internal Medicine Physician, sub-specialised in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a demonstrated history of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. His focus centres on high quality colonoscopy, treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection and bowel cancer screening.

He graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales in Sydney; with degrees in Bachelor of Science (Medicine), Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He was the recipient of the Dami Atapattu Prize in Anatomy, and tutored 1st year medical students as a 4th year medical student.He is fully trained in Queensland, completing his Basic Physician training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Subsequently, he completed Gastroenterology and Hepatology subspecialty training at the Cairns Hospital, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and QEII Jubilee Hospital.

He has been heavily involved in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with current academic appointments with the University of Queensland and Griffith University as a Senior Lecturer. He has served as the state-wide Queensland Gastroenterology Education Program co-ordinator and the Gastroenterology Society of Queensland Trainee Representative. He currently supervises Adult Medicine Advanced Trainees from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

He also has public appointments as a Staff Specialist with Redland Hospital and Logan Hospital.

He can speak Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay, in addition to English.

DR EMILY LIM - BSc, MBBS, FRACP
CONSULTANT GASTROENTEROLOGIST

Dr Emily Lim

Dr Emily Lim is a local gastroenterologist who completed her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery at the University of Queensland. She undertook basic physician training at Logan and Princess Alexandra Hospitals before completing advanced training in Gastroenterology across The Townsville Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and QEII Jubilee Hospital. Her breadth of experience gained from working across Queensland has given her unique insight into the needs of the local community.

She is formally recognised by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) to have fully completed training in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy.

Dr Lim also holds a part-time Staff Specialist position at QEII Jubilee Hospital, where she supervises advanced trainees. She has been actively involved in teaching medical students for many years and has held an Associate Lecturer position at the University of Queensland since 2016.

She has an interest in high-quality endoscopy/colonoscopy and has ongoing involvement in colonic polyp research.
